Gov. Matt Mead and First Lady Carol Mead will dedicate Dubois WY Assisted Living Center

DUBOIS WY – Governor Matt Mead and his wife First Lady Carol Mead will fly into Dubois Wednesday, July 3 to celebrate a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony for the town’s new assisted living facility, Warm Valley Lodge.

The ceremony begins at approximately 9:30 a.m. at the Lodge, located at 5643 U.S. 26 in Dubois. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

“The Governor and First Lady are excited to make this their first official visit to Dubois after taking office,” noted Renny Mackay, Communications Director for the Governor.

“Governor Mead was instrumental in securing one of the first financial grants that helped keep this project moving forward, so he has a special interest in this dedication.”

The Governor and First Lady are scheduled to arrive in Dubois at 9:15 a.m., and will be escorted to Warm Valley Lodge by the Wyoming State Highway Patrol.

After a short speech and the ribbon-cutting, the Meads will have a quick tour of the facility before returning to the airport. From Dubois they fly to Cody for another function, then to Jackson for another ribbon-cutting.

“Unfortunately, we cannot offer Lodge tours to the public at this ceremony because we are preparing for our final State inspection and the building is still being cleaned,” explained Dick Hodge, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Warm Valley Lodge, “but the public can certainly come into our great room and enjoy juice, coffee, and other refreshments.

“We will be opening later in July with our first residents, and we have tentatively scheduled a full open house for the public later in September.”

The Dubois Wyoming Assisted Living Facility – Warm Valley Lodge, is scheduled to open later in July with its first residents.
